Today I was able to confirm the efficacy of Guix offloading chain. One important observation is downloading of new substitutes by the client system. These substitutes should be first downloaded by the hub system and only then used by the client system. Also it would be good to finally set up parallel builds with multithreaded compilation.

I realised that I do not need to provide titles to journal entries. Thanks to this I am able to publish even very short thoughts because titles oblige to structure and composition.

ŹRÓDŁO I have decided to remove packages akonadi-notes and kpeoplevcard from Guix. Since then quite some time has passed and currently the repository includes only akonadi-notes.

SOURCE Tired of the fact, that mailing list discussions disrupt the order of my private correspondence, I resolved to implement a system for reading mailing lists based on public-inbox archives. Mailing lists are a traditional way of group communication with e-mail. Public-inbox archives are a method based on git repositories for replication and reading of mailing list archives without having to actively subscribe to the lists. There are tools which furthers transform these archives into local mail boxes, thanks to which mailing lists can be read with a typical mail client.
